This chapter was originally an appendix but I moved it into the third section of the book since it is very important. The third section of the book has four chapters dedicated to advanced rigging topics. Now that you have gone through basic rigging concepts and a biped character it is time to look further and see what other mayhem you can get into (or avoid getting into.)
That brings us to gimbal lock, flipping issues (sometimes confused as gimbal lock) and rotational order for joints and controllers. It’s a small chapter but needs to be covered before we get into the real meat: stretchy rigs! Ooo-la-la.
